The team dinner

It was a team dinner today. Bunch of unacquainted was in the same spot must supposedly try to bring the last supper out of mundane buffet menu. Apologies. I should not be complaining if it is a free food for it is not decent to ramble an opinion but allow me to explain. The interaction always treaded on work and often devolved into "what is your overall experience". I was anticipating that someone would you inquire my emoluments and remark a glorious opinion on fiscal failure. Fortunately, that did not happen. I often quiver hearing those questions. It is not about whether you would like to read great books or swim on the marina or at-least enjoy the old city.  I long for people to like things outside work. I, however, mumble, people want, what they want and what they want is probably right.

Adding to writhing agony, the hackneyed buffet made sure that it is a last supper there for me for different reasons. It is not a great representative of the grand old city of Madras.

I hope that people would look beyond such banality.

It is not like the team dinner had bunch of doctors who are responsible for saving lives daily.
