The team dinner

It was a team dinner today. Bunch of unacquainted was in the same spot must supposedly try to bring the last supper out of mundane buffet menu. Apologies. I should not be complaining if it is a free food for it is not decent to ramble an opinion, but allow me to explain. The interaction is always restricted to what is your core skill and your overall experience. It is not about whether you would like to read great books or swim on the marina or at-least enjoy the old city. The unabashed optimist inside me often quivers hearing those questions. He longs for people to like things outside work. The realist however mumbles, people want, what they want and what they want is probably right. Adding to writhing agony, the hackneyed buffet made sure that, it is a last supper there for me for different reasons. It is not a great representative of the grand old city of Madras.

The optimist is unabashed. He hopes that people would look beyond skill and overall experience. It is not like the team dinner had bunch of doctors who are responsible for saving lives daily.
